Southeast Louisiana Sport Education Program

The “Southeast Louisiana Sport Education Program”  (SELASEP) is a non-profit corporation incorporated in the United States of America, in accordance to the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3).  SELASEP was organized to equip young men and women with life sustaining tools which helps them mature into positive, productive leaders of society through the use of academic and social programs and the inner motivational discipline harnessed in playing team sports. 

SELASEP keeps the youth focused on something positive, allows them to have experiences and see places they normally would not have the opportunity to experience.   

SELASEP also awards them a sense of pride and dignity.  

What We Do

We emphasize athletics and educational improvement.  We strive to teach players the importance of the "Team" concept in game situations and within their community. Our commitment is to the development of positive player attitudes, advance fundamental skills and team play concepts. 

This organization demands a high degree of ethical conduct by all its coaches, players, volunteers, and parents so that it provides a good example for the community, the opponents, and its participants; thus positively affecting their growth and adulthood.  

AND, of course, we want the basketball experience to be FUN!
